Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel dove into the vibrant Navratri celebrations on Thursday, joining the Garba Festival at the IPS Mess in Ahmedabad. He offered prayers to Adi Shakti Maa Amba and extended warm Navratri greetings to IPS officers and police personnel across the state.
The event buzzed with energy as renowned artist Shri Bharat Baria and his troupe led a colorful aarti, complete with graceful dance moves. A group from Porbandar lit up the stage with Maniyaro and the energetic Dhal-Talwar Raas, while young performers from Anand mixed traditional and modern Raas-Garba styles to keep everyone dancing.
Top officials joined the festivities, including Chief Secretary Pankaj Joshi, Additional Chief Secretary of the Home Department M K Das, Director General of Police Vikas Sahay, and senior leaders like Dr K N L Rao, Manoj Agrawal, and Ahmedabad Police Commissioner G S Malik. IPS officers and their families also stepped in, making it a true community affair during the Sharadiya Navratri season.
Just a couple of days earlier, Union Home Minister Amit Shah soaked up the Garba spirit at the Kesariya Garba Navratri event in Gandhinagar’s Ram Katha Ground on Tuesday night. This came right after he visited multiple Garba gatherings organized by residential groups in Ahmedabad, embracing the festive Navratri vibe.
Shah shared the joy on social media platform X, posting photos from his visits to Vrajdham Apartment and Orchid Legacy in Ahmedabad’s Sarkhej Ward. “On this auspicious Navratri, I joined the Garba festival and received the blessings of Mother Goddess,” he wrote, highlighting his devotion to the celebrations.
