Gujarat CM, Union Minister Vaishnaw inaugurate Trade Show and Exhibition at Vibrant Gujarat Regional Conference

The Vibrant Gujarat Regional Conference (VGRC) for North Gujarat opened its doors on October 9 at Ganpat University in Mehsana, Gujarat. The two‑day event showcases the state’s growth plans and invites entrepreneurs, investors, and industry leaders from across India and abroad.
Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel and Union Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw kicked off the conference by opening the Trade Show and Exhibition. Other senior officials—State Finance Minister Kanubhai Desai, Health Minister Rushikesh Patel, and Industries Minister Balvantsinh Rajput—also took part, underscoring the government’s support for the event.
The exhibition covers nearly 18,000 square metres and features more than 400 exhibitors. Companies from agriculture, food processing, renewable energy and other sectors display their latest products and technologies. Big names such as Torrent, Welspun, NHPC, NTPC, Suzlon, Nirma, Maruti Suzuki, Power Grid and Adani also set up booths to connect with local businesses and potential partners.
VGRC aims to bring together innovators, startups, MSMEs, foreign buyers and public‑sector units to advance India’s “Atmanirbhar Bharat” and “Vocal for Local” strategies. It also focuses on sustainable economic growth and regional empowerment.
A Vendor Development Program (VDP) is running parallel to the exhibition, partnering with organisations like Dudhsagar Dairy, ONGC, Western Railway and McCain Foods. The VDP is designed to strengthen industry linkages and help local companies expand.
Attendees included the Principal Secretary of the Industries Department, the Additional Chief Secretary of Energy, district officials, and a host of industrialists and investors. The conference highlighted the vibrancy of Gujarat’s local entrepreneurship and signals the state’s commitment to a developed India through a developed Gujarat.
