Late Saturday night, a man on the far right erupted in an abusive tirade inside the Mole Mexican Bar & Grill in the West Village. He turned his hate speech toward a Jewish woman who had asked him politely for her name. The clash was recorded and posted on X, where it quickly spread.
The footage shows the assailant launching into a flood of profanity and antisemitic threats. He yells, “F–k you, b–tch!” and “You’re an ugly f—ing c–t, Post it everywhere you want, you ugly f–ing Zionist. We will rid this country of f–ing you by all f–ing means.”
The victim, shaken but calm, responds with a single question, after which the man steps closer, threatens to head‑butt her, and then storms off with the woman who was standing beside him.
Max Towey, co‑founder of Roca News, was the first to witness the incident. He later shared the video on his X account and described how the confrontation began with a polite exchange, then escalated to the violent rant captured on film.
“It was shocking to see the girls crying after he left,” Towey told the Post. “They were calm—they weren’t fighting anyone.” He said that people who hear such hateful rhetoric feel “emboldened,” and that “people like this guy … and all these sort of avidly and rabidly anti‑Zionist types who are tracing all the evils of the world to Jewish people” have gained a platform.
Jewish community leaders say that antisemitic incidents have risen since the Hamas attack on Israel on Oct. 7, 2023, and the ensuing Israeli operations in Gaza. A woman answering the restaurant’s phone on Sunday declined to comment to the Post about what happened.
