In New Delhi, senior Congress leader Udit Raj began a scathing attack on Aam Aadmi Party boss Arvind Kejriwal, calling him a “habitual liar” and accusing the AAP of acting as the BJP’s “B‑team.”
Raj’s remarks followed Kejriwal’s clear dismissal of any Congress alliance for the upcoming 2027 Goa Assembly elections. “There will be no alliance with the Congress under any circumstances,” Kejriwal said when he opened a new party office near Panaji. He also warned Goa voters that the Congress had “let down and deceived the people of Goa the most.”
Kejriwal claimed the Congress was a major supplier of state legislators to the BJP and questioned whether the party could promise Goa voters that its lawmakers would stay away from the BJP in the future. In response, Raj denounced Kejriwal as a “great liar,” arguing that the AAP was born out of connections with the BJP and RSS and that its rise was aided by those parties.
The Congress leader attacked Kejriwal’s credibility, citing past promises about security, personal mansions, and alliances that he allegedly broke. Raj also floated allegations that the AAP used money from a so‑called liquor scam to fund its Goa election campaign and that the CBI had traced the flow of those funds.
Meanwhile, Kejriwal pointed fingers at both the BJP and Congress in Goa, saying they have been “hand in glove” in siphoning the state’s wealth. He accused a handful of families of controlling Goa’s government and machinery for six decades, arguing that elections are fought to serve those families, not the people. Kejriwal highlighted infrastructure gaps—lacking hospitals, schools, and roads—and urged Goans to push for change in the next polls.
The exchange underscores the heated rivalry between Congress and AAP as they prepare for Goa’s upcoming elections and test their positions on alliance, governance, and corruption.
