Vikassheel Insaan Party (VIP) chief Mukesh Sahani told reporters in Patna that he is confident the INDIA Bloc will win the next Bihar election.
He said the alliance is set to field Tejashwi Yadav as chief minister and he will become deputy chief minister.
During the INDIA Bloc meeting, parties agreed on how many assembly seats each will contest.
Sahani emphasized that the partners had reached a consensus on both seat distribution and leadership roles. He rejected speculation that he could re‑join the NDA and reiterated the party’s commitment to the coalition.
“India Bloc is the only force that can bring real change to Bihar,” Sahani said. “The election isn’t just about votes; it’s about building a better future for our people.”
He added that the coalition remains united and ready to challenge the current government. “There is complete unity among the partners. Together we will form the next government,” he remarked.
Sahani highlighted the Grand Alliance’s past 17‑month tenure, pointing to progress in education, health, roads and jobs. He mentioned new schemes aimed at women and youth that helped lift the state’s development. “Biharis are tired of corruption and stagnation. They want change, and they’re backing the Grand Alliance to create a new Bihar,” he said.
As Bihar prepares for its upcoming Assembly elections, leaders from the INDIA Bloc continue to stress strong partnerships, seat‑sharing agreements and a pledge to transform the state.
