In a jaw-dropping moment on Kaun Banega Crorepati, contestant Mitkumar Thakrar confessed to host Amitabh Bachchan that he skipped his own wedding to chase his lifelong dream of sitting on the iconic hot seat, shocking everyone in the studio.
Thakrar shared that for 25 long years, he’d been auditioning and waiting for his shot at KBC. A marriage proposal had come his way back then, but he turned it down with a bold condition: “First, I sit on the KBC hot seat, then on the wedding horse as a groom.”
A chuckling Big B probed further, wondering aloud if the woman was still waiting after all these years. Thakrar’s priceless reply? “Sir, unki toh shaddi hogayi kabki” – meaning she tied the knot ages ago. The studio erupted in laughter, with Amitabh and the audience in absolute hysterics.

Adding to the buzz, actress Ananya Panday dropped by recently with Kartik Aaryan to hype their upcoming flick Tu Meri Main Tera Main Tera Tu Meri. She dished on her family’s KBC mania, revealing a cherished tradition: “When my grandparents visit from Delhi, we gather from Monday to Friday for the show – the whole family glued to the screen.”
Big B quipped, “And when they leave?” Ananya shot back, “No, I watch it.” She went on to say it wasn’t just her dream, but the Panday family’s collective aspiration for someone to grace the KBC stage – and she became the lucky first to make it happen.
