Jagan Mohan Reddy returns from London

YS Jagan Mohan Reddy, the former chief minister and president of the YSR Congress Party, has come back to India after a brief trip to London.
On October 11, he flew to the UK to visit his eldest daughter. The party said on Monday that Jagan landed in Bengaluru in the morning and will arrive in Tadepalli, his hometown, on Tuesday.
The trip received legal clearance. A Hyderabad special court had allowed him to travel abroad while the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) investigates a disproportionate‑assets case against him. The CBI had since asked the court to cancel the travel permit, claiming that Jagan failed to provide his phone number, a breach of his bail conditions. The case is expected to be heard later this week.
During his quick visit, Jagan posted warm Diwali wishes to Telugu people around the world. “Diwali reminds us that light triumphs over darkness, good over evil, and knowledge over ignorance,” he wrote. He hoped the Festival of Lights brings joy, peace, and prosperity to every household.
Jagan also expressed sorrow over the death of Maulana Hafiz Peer Shabbir Ahmad, former president of the Jamiat Ulema of Telangana and Andhra Pradesh and a former Member of the Legislative Council. “His passing is deeply saddening,” Jagan said, offering condolences and remembering the scholar’s lifelong service to society.
The former chief minister’s return amid ongoing investigations and his public messages highlight his continued engagement with both political affairs and community welfare across the Telugu states.
