BB 19 winner Gaurav Khanna’s father says he “would have slapped Farrhana Bhatt”
Mumbai, Dec 9 – The triumph of Bigg Boss 19’s champion, Gaurav Khanna, has touched an instant‑fellow audience, and he’s earned even more admiration after his spectacular final victory. The success has filled his parents with immense pride, though they admit the drama inside the house often pushed the boundaries of what might be considered acceptable.
When LatestNewsX asked his father about the heat of the competition, he said, “There were also contestants like Zeishan Quadri and Abhishek Bajaj who were very aggressive, and there were many fights between them and Gaurav. But I knew Gaurav would manage things on his own, because inside that house no one can help you; you must stand for yourself.” He added that he was particularly upset when Farrhana Bhatt ridiculed him in a condescending “superstar” tone, questioning Gaurav’s work and career. “At that moment, even Gaurav’s anger was visible; his throat veins were popping. If I had been there, I don’t know what I would have done. I might have even slapped Farhana.”
Despite the tension, the father recalled how his son’s demeanor shifted over the course of the show. “In the beginning, I didn’t really enjoy watching him play inside the house. There were too many fights, and I couldn’t understand why he was getting involved,” he said. “But once I saw him handling situations and even winning against others, I realised he was doing it with a calm mind. Fighting is not in his nature at all, so seeing him stay composed made me really proud.”
Speaking of his resilience, he confessed that Gaurav is driven by a single purpose. “He is very determined. If he decides he wants to achieve something, he will give it his all.” The father felt this was a hallmark of Gaurav’s past accomplishments, such as his determination on MasterChef, and he expected the same unwavering focus would win him the title on Bigg Boss.
On Dec 7, Gaurav Khanna secured victory in Bigg Boss season 19, outlasting rivals Farrhana Bhatt, Pranit More, Tanya Mittal and Amaal Mallik.
