Kerala is gearing up for an exciting two-day national workshop on IT solutions for the AYUSH sector, set to kick off on September 18 and 19 at the scenic KTDC Waterscapes in Kumarakom. This event, brought to you by the Kerala Government Department of AYUSH and the National AYUSH Mission, promises to boost digital health initiatives across India.
Kerala’s Health and Women & Child Development Minister, Veena George, will kick things off with a virtual inauguration at 9:30 AM on the first day. Expect a powerhouse gathering: delegates from all 28 states and eight Union Territories, plus ministers, senior officials from the Ministry of AYUSH, IT heads, and experts in digital health and e-governance.
The big goal? To create a centralized digital framework for AYUSH services nationwide. This means building a unified, interoperable system that ties in with the National Health Mission’s digital push, making traditional medicine more accessible and efficient for everyone.
Kerala earned its spot as the host after shining in digital inclusion efforts. It all started at a Niti Aayog meeting of Chief Secretaries, where they decided on themed workshops to speed up AYUSH service delivery. Kerala’s presentation on IT in AYUSH caught everyone’s attention, leading the Ministry to greenlight this in-depth session for roadmap planning.
Get ready for hands-on action: the workshop features technical presentations, live demos on digital tools, and even a follow-up field visit on September 20 and 21. Delegates will tour Kerala’s AYUSH facilities to see real-world models of service delivery up close.
This national AYUSH workshop highlights Kerala’s leadership in digital health, paving the way for smarter, tech-driven traditional wellness across the country. Stay tuned for updates on how it shapes India’s AYUSH future!
