Sikkim CM Wishes PM Modi on 75th Birthday, Launches Special Schemes
Sikkim Chief Minister Prem Singh Tamang shared warm birthday wishes for Prime Minister Narendra Modi on his 75th birthday. Speaking to reporters in Gangtok, Tamang highlighted how the state government rolled out several new schemes to celebrate the occasion. "We launched various schemes to mark PM Modi’s birthday," he said. "His vision focuses on public service, urging us all to unite and help the poor. On behalf of Sikkim’s people, I congratulate him."
PM Modi, turning 75 today, expressed deep gratitude for the flood of birthday messages from across India and around the world. In an emotional post on X (formerly Twitter), he called the people’s faith and affection a huge source of strength. "The innumerable wishes and trust you’ve shown me fuel our shared goal of building a Viksit Bharat—a developed India," Modi wrote. He promised to work even harder with renewed energy and devotion. Though he couldn’t reply to each message personally, he added, "This affection has touched my heart deeply. I pray for everyone’s good health and well-being."
Modi also praised the spirit of social service sweeping India. Many people kicked off initiatives that will continue in the coming days, showcasing the country’s inherent goodness and courage. "These efforts keep our society strong and help us face challenges with hope and positivity," he noted. "I salute everyone leading these endeavors."
The Prime Minister described the overwhelming response as "Gratitude to Jana Shakti," saying the countless wishes, blessings, and messages from home and abroad inspire him to serve better.
To mark PM Modi’s 75th birthday, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) started a two-week Seva Pakhwada campaign. The event features various community service activities planned over the next 14 days.
Earlier in the day, PM Modi launched the Swasth Nari Shashakt Parivar Abhiyaan in Madhya Pradesh’s Dhar district. He also inaugurated and laid foundation stones for several development projects, boosting healthcare and family empowerment in the region.
This birthday celebration underscores Modi’s enduring popularity and commitment to India’s progress, with leaders like Sikkim’s CM joining in to honor his vision.
