Looking forward to taking part in Sathya Sai Baba centenary celebrations: PM Modi (2nd Lead)

Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to head to Puttaparthi, Andhra Pradesh, to join the centenary celebrations of revered spiritual leader Sri Sathya Sai Baba on Wednesday.
On Tuesday Modi took to X to say he “looked forward to being among my sisters and brothers of Andhra Pradesh” for the event. He added that Sai Baba’s life and his work for community service and spiritual awakening are “a guiding light for generations.” The post featured photographs of the PM with the godman over the years, highlighting their past interactions.
The Prime Minister will arrive in Puttaparthi with Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu. At about 10 a.m. they will visit the holy shrine and the Mahasamadhi of Sri Sathya Sai Baba. Modi will pay his respects, release a commemorative coin, and unveil a set of stamps honoring the guru’s legacy. He will also address a public gathering during the festivities.
Later, Modi will leave for Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu, where he will inaugurate the South India Natural Farming Summit 2025 at around 1:30 p.m. While in Coimbatore, the PM will announce the 21st instalment of the PM‑KISAN scheme, amounting to more than ₹18,000 crore. The new package will help 9 crore farmers nationwide. Modi will speak to the farmers at the launch.
Chief Minister Naidu will greet Modi at Puttaparthi airport at 9:25 a.m. on Wednesday. After the Mahasamadhi ceremony, the duo will head to Hill View Stadium for the centenary celebrations.
At the end of the day Modi will depart from Puttaparthi airport. Naidu will then travel to Pendlimarri in Kadapa district to attend the Annadata Sukheebhava second‑phase funds distribution, part of the PM‑KISAN and Annadata Sukheebhava schemes. Under the programme, each farmer receives ₹7,000, and a total of 46,85,838 farmers across Andhra Pradesh will benefit from ₹3,135 crore.
After the farmers’ event, Naidu will meet with members of the Telugu Desam Party and head to Amaravati by Wednesday night. The visit showcases a blend of spiritual homage and practical support for farmers, underscoring both Narendra Modi’s national agenda and the state’s commitment to rural development.
