‘Weak’ people leading ‘decaying’ Europe: Trump

Washington, Dec 10 (LatestNewsX) – In a Politico interview, President Donald Trump described European leaders as “Weak” people heading a “decaying” group of nations.

“I think they’re weak … But I also think that they want to be so politically correct,” Trump said while speaking at the White House, the interview appearing on Tuesday.

“I think they don’t know what to do,” he added. “Europe doesn’t know what to do.”

Trump warned that if Europe keeps its current border policy, several European states could “not be viable countries any longer,” pointing to London and Paris as cities struggling under the strain of migration from the Middle East and Africa, according to Xinhua.

He also expressed doubts about the effectiveness of European leaders in resolving the Ukraine conflict, stating, “They talk, but they don’t produce, and the war just keeps going on and on.”

The president noted that Russia is clearly stronger than Ukraine and urged Kyiv to hold fresh elections.

The National Security Strategy released last Thursday pledged to “cultivate resistance” against the European status quo on immigration and other politically volatile issues.

European Council President Antonio Costa replied that “Allies do not threaten to interfere in the democratic life or the domestic political choices of these allies” in reaction to the U.S. document.
