Hyderabad, Telangana: In a sharp political jab, BJP leader NV Subhash has questioned if Congress chief Rahul Gandhi is upset about India’s thrilling victory over Pakistan in the Asia Cup 2025 match in Dubai. The Indian cricket team put on a stellar show, clinching a seven-wicket win in the high-voltage Group A clash on Sunday.
Subhash didn’t hold back while speaking to . "Is Rahul Gandhi, along with his friend Asaduddin Owaisi, mourning Pakistan’s loss in the Asia Cup? India played brilliantly and won convincingly, but no one from their side wished the team well," he said. He added that this shows how Gandhi and his allies often praise the Pakistan Army, even after defeats to Indian forces.
Subhash also praised the Indian team’s grit. "We loved how the Suryakumar Yadav-led side dominated from start to finish. If BCCI had pulled out of the match, India could have faced suspension and lost its spot in international cricket," he noted.
