Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav has announced an important step to support students in government schools. On Teachers’ Day, he released Rs 330 crore to provide uniforms for 55 lakh children studying in the state’s government schools. This big initiative aims to ensure that all students have proper uniforms, making education accessible for more kids.
The announcement was made during a special Teachers’ Day program organized by the School Education Department. During the event, the money was transferred directly into the bank accounts of students with just one click, making it quick and easy for families to access the funds.
The event also celebrated teachers for their hard work and dedication. Madhya Pradesh Governor Mangubhai Patel was the chief guest. CM Mohan Yadav highlighted the importance of education, saying, “Education is the foundation of society’s progress, and teachers are the true architects of this foundation.”
Teachers’ Day, celebrated annually on September 5, marks the birthday of India’s former President Dr Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan. It’s a day to appreciate teachers who guide, motivate, and shape the lives of millions of students across the country.
At the event, 14 teachers received awards for their excellent work during the current academic year. Among them, two teachers—Sheela Patel and Bhurelal Osara—were chosen for the prestigious National Teachers’ Awards. They will receive this honor from President Droupadi Murmu in Delhi.
Several important ministers, including Uday Pratap Singh, Kunwar Vijay Shah, Vishwas Sarang, and Krishna Gaur, attended the event and praised teachers for their vital role in education and society.
Teachers’ Day is not just about celebrating teachers; it’s also about recognizing their dedication and the positive impact they have on students’ lives. This initiative by Madhya Pradesh aims to boost education and support teachers and students across the state.
