Fire Breaks Out in Arunachal Pradesh Village: Indian Army Saves the Day

A scary fire ripped through Kaying village in Arunachal Pradesh’s Shi-Yomi district on Monday afternoon, leaving at least one person with burn injuries and destroying two houses. But thanks to the quick thinking and brave actions of Indian Army troops, things didn’t get worse, and many lives and properties were saved.

Defence spokesman Lt Col Mahendra Rawat shared the details, explaining how the blaze started and quickly spread, putting everyone nearby at risk. "The fire engulfed two houses in no time," he said. As soon as the army got word of the emergency, a team rushed to the spot with whatever resources they had, including a water bowser for firefighting.

Their fast response made all the difference. The soldiers worked hard to control the flames, ensuring the fire didn’t spread further. They even evacuated all the villagers safely and rescued valuables like cars and bikes from the area. One person who got burned received immediate medical help from the army team on the scene.

Lt Col Rawat praised the troops, saying their selfless efforts prevented a major disaster and protected the community. "The Indian Army’s dedication to serving people is truly inspiring," he added. Locals in Kaying village are super grateful for the army’s heroism and speedy help during the crisis.

In other big news from Arunachal Pradesh, the state cabinet took a smart step to boost fire safety across the region. During a meeting on Monday in Ziro, Lower Subansiri district, led by Chief Minister Pema Khandu, they approved four new fire stations. These will come up in Mebo (East Siang district), Kimin (Papum Pare district), Deomali (Tirap district), and Lungla (Tawang district).

To make sure these stations run smoothly, the cabinet also created 68 new jobs for firefighters and support staff. This move will fill big gaps in emergency services and help keep residents safer from future fire incidents in Arunachal Pradesh. It’s a welcome boost for better disaster response in the state.
