Patna – On Thursday, Bihar’s Chief Minister Nitish Kumar visited the under‑construction Tourist Facility Centre in Kesariya, East Champaran. He toured the new auditorium and various tourist amenities being added to the site.
The CM urged the workforce to speed up the build, pointing out that the Kesariya Buddhist Stupa draws many both domestic and international visitors. The new centre will make the experience smoother and better highlight Bihar’s Buddhist legacy.
One standout feature is a 5‑D theatre that seats 48 people, where visual displays of key Buddhist teachings will be shown. The complex will also house a Bihar Pavilion, with interactive frames and educational exhibits detailing the state’s history and culture.
More than 90 sculptures will be placed in custom display cases, and artistic pieces will line the open areas. In addition, eight replicas of significant Buddhist monuments in Bihar will be positioned at the four corners of the complex.
While inspecting the Kesariya Stupa complex, the chief minister looked over ongoing preservation and developmental efforts, reminding officials to keep safety standards high and maintain the visitor facilities properly.
During the same visit, Nitish Kumar checked out the Health and Wellness Centre in Tajpur village. He examined the medical services, met with the doctor to discuss cleanliness, medicine availability, free vaccinations, and overall service quality. He also handed out Ayushman cards to eligible residents and asked for the road to the health centre to be widened for better access.
At the Higher Secondary School in Tajpur, the CM walked around the stalls, chatting with local people—Jeevika workers, cooks, Anganwadi staff, Mamata workers, Vikas Mitras, Talimi Markaz staff, and Tola Sevaks. He encouraged them to keep up their efforts with determination and assured them that their needs were being taken care of.
Later, he visited the Kasturba Gandhi Residential School, speaking with the hostel students about the facilities and urging them to focus on their studies. He also opened the newly built school library, promising the government’s continued support for the students’ education and overall development.
