Patna – The final day of campaigning for the second phase of the Bihar Assembly elections wrapped up at 5 p.m. on Sunday. Chief Minister Nitish Kumar finished the tour by speaking to a crowd in Itwadih, a ward in the Kargahar Assembly segment of Rohtas district, where he urged voters to back his NDA‑aligned JDU candidate, Vashishth Singh.
During the rally, Kumar highlighted how his coalition with Prime Minister Narendra Modi had liberated Bihar from “jungle raj” and ended decades of dynasty politics. He slammed the former ruling family, reminding people that before 2005 the state suffered from fear, lack of basic services and bad infrastructure. “We built schools, power, roads for every caste and religion,” he said. “More work is ahead.”
The CM also said critics who question his energy and health are misled. He answered backlash by keeping an aggressive campaign schedule, traveling almost 1,000 km on road and by air during the two phases of the election. In total, he gave 84 public meetings—11 on the road and 73 from the air.
In addition to Itwadih, Kumar staged rallies in Nokha and Karakat on the same day, while earlier conferred with crowds in Aurangabad and Nabinagar. He repeatedly urged voters to re‑elect the NDA government, promising to push Bihar toward a developed future.
Voters in the key Rohtas constituency were asked to support JDU’s Vashishth Singh. The CM concluded that people have confidence in the “Modi‑Nitish” partnership, which will secure all‑round development for the state.
