Sicko teacher allegedly sent sexual messages to fifth grade student, busted while driving to child’s house

Kentucky teacher arrested for sending explicit messages to a fifth‑grade student

Sydnee Graf, 36, a math teacher at Smyrna Elementary School in Louisville, was taken into custody on December 15 after police discovered a series of disturbing text messages she sent to a student under 12. Court filings released by local reporters show that the messages, sent during a virtual learning session, included graphic sexual content and the teacher’s plans to meet the child near his home to carry out those acts.

The exchange began when Graf instructed the boy that she “really need to taste that d–k Fr Fr,” according to Police Officer Dan Williams, who found the conversation on the teacher’s laptop. Video and screenshots captured Graf’s face and the on‑screen name at the top of the screen.

After her arrest, Graf reportedly admitted to sending the messages. She was charged with procuring and promoting the sexual use of a minor by electronic means. At her arraignment, she pleaded not guilty. The judge set a $100,000 bond and ordered that she have no contact with the victim or use of social media. She is now under house arrest and is scheduled to appear in court again on January 26.

School response

In a message to families on December 16, principal Amanda Cooper said, “Following JCPS protocols, the staff members will be reassigned and will not have contact with students during the investigation. Because this is an active investigation, I cannot disclose anything more. We know situations like this can cause anxiety for students and families. Our mental health team is always available. If you feel your student would benefit from talking with our mental health practitioner or counselor, please let us know.”

Smyrna Elementary has temporarily moved Graf to a non‑student‑facing role pending the outcome of the investigation. The Louisville School Board is working with local law enforcement and child‑protective services to ensure the safety and well‑being of its students.
