Shocking Case in Karachi: Man Arrested for Sexually Assaulting Minor Girls Since 2016
In a disturbing case from Karachi, Pakistan, police have arrested a man accused of sexually assaulting several young girls over the years. A local court on Friday remanded him to five days of police custody to help with the ongoing investigation, as reported by Geo News.
The suspect landed in hot water after multiple complaints surfaced from the Qayyumabad area. Authorities nabbed him on Thursday evening, and he’s now facing three separate child assault cases filed in just one week.
South Superintendent of Police Mehroze Ali shared key details: The man has allegedly been preying on girls since 2016. He would lure them with cash and small gifts before carrying out the assaults. "He targeted multiple young victims repeatedly," SSP Ali told reporters.
Digging deeper, police uncovered over 100 shocking videos on the suspect’s mobile phone and a USB drive. These clips captured the assaults, painting a grim picture of his crimes. Investigators say he rented a room and a shop in Qayyumabad, where he would take the girls after enticing them.
Here’s how it all started, according to the initial police report. The suspect moved to Karachi from Abbottabad back in 2011. By 2016, he set up a juice cart in Qayyumabad and began targeting children aged 5 to 12. He offered treats to kids who stopped by his cart, then led them upstairs to the rented room for the assaults.
In a brave twist, one recent victim managed to sneak away with his USB drive just days before his arrest. That device held more than 100 assault videos, which helped crack the case wide open. Police also found a diary in his possession listing details of some victims, confirming he recorded everything.
South Deputy Inspector General Asad Raza highlighted the latest incident: "He tried to assault another girl recently, but she was smart enough to grab the USB and escape." The force registered the case at Defence Police Station right after the arrest, and they’re still probing for more leads.
This heartbreaking story has raised serious concerns about child safety in Karachi. Police urge parents to stay vigilant and report any suspicious activity. The investigation continues as authorities work to bring justice for the victims. (With inputs from )
