On Wednesday, President Droupadi Murmu will preside over a national ceremony in the Central Hall of Samvidhan Sadan to mark Constitution Day 2025. The event will showcase the digital unveiling of the Constitution in nine Indian languages, officials said.
The nine languages in which the Constitution will be released are Malayalam, Marathi, Nepali, Punjabi, Bodo, Kashmiri, Telugu, Odia and Assamese.
Starting at 11 a.m., the President will lead parliamentarians as they reaffirm their commitment to constitutional values and democratic traditions.
Vice‑President C.P. Radhakrishna, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla, Union Ministers, and MPs from both Houses are expected to attend, according to a statement from the Ministry of Parliamentary Affairs.
During the programme, the Speaker and Vice‑President will address the crowd, followed by the President’s address.
The Ministry of Culture will also launch a Hindi commemorative booklet featuring calligraphy on the Constitution as part of the celebrations.
The President will lead the reading of the Constitution’s preamble.
Throughout the country, ministries, departments, state and union territory governments, and local bodies will organize a variety of activities to honour the occasion.
Citizens can join in by reading the preamble online on MyGov.in and Constitution75.com, creating participation certificates, sharing on social media, and competing in the national quiz and essay contests titled “Hamara Samvidhan – Hamara Swabhiman.” Additional events will include conferences, seminars, debates, short‑film contests, exhibitions, cultural programs, and artistic competitions such as poster, painting and rangoli, spanning from village councils to Parliament.
The statement declared that Constitution Day 2025 would be celebrated nationwide as a festival of constitutional values, engaging Indians across the country and around the world.
