India’s thrilling seven-wicket win over Pakistan in the Asia Cup has sparked massive celebrations across the country. Fans from Delhi to Ayodhya lit up the night with dances, flags, and cheers, hailing the Indian cricket team’s dominant performance.
In Siliguri, West Bengal, crowds danced joyfully while waving Indian flags, thrilled by the victory against their arch-rivals. One excited fan told , “The Indian team played brilliantly! Their batting in the powerplay was spot-on, and the whole squad shone.” Another supporter, Abhishek, added, “India played so well today. Beating Pakistan felt amazing!”
The festive mood spread to Zirakpur in Punjab, where fans linked the win to national pride. “This victory honors Operation Sindoor,” one celebrator said. “It’s our answer to them—on the field or off. We’ve responded in war, and now through sports.”
Delhi buzzed with energy too. A fan shared, “I’m over the moon that India won! PM Modi avenged the Pahalgam attack, and today our players proved they’re unbeatable.”
In Nagpur, Maharashtra, people poured into the streets to celebrate the Asia Cup triumph. Uttar Pradesh’s Prayagraj and Jammu in Jammu and Kashmir saw similar scenes, with folks chanting slogans and hoisting tricolors high.
Ayodhya, the temple town in Uttar Pradesh, added a spiritual touch—sadhus distributed sweets amid the revelry. Over in Patna, Bihar’s capital, crackers burst in the air as fans held up banners featuring the Indian cricket stars.
On the field in Dubai, India made light work of Pakistan’s 128-run total, chasing it down in just 15.5 overs despite an early jolt from Saim Ayub. Captain Suryakumar Yadav led the charge with an unbeaten 47 off 37 balls, steering the team home with over four overs to spare. This all-round effort kept India atop Group A in the ongoing Asia Cup.
Reflecting on the win, Suryakumar said, “It’s a great feeling and the perfect return gift to India. You always want to win these big ones, and ticking that box of batting till the end feels special. For the team, it’s just another game—we prepare the same against every opponent.” The victory has fans dreaming of more glory in the Asia Cup.
