Big B on Dussehra: May victory of good over evil be ever blessed in lives of all humanity
On Dussehra, Bollywood legend Amitabh Bachchan posted a heartfelt message on his blog, mixing festival cheer with timeless wisdom from Chanakya Niti. The icon wished everyone the triumph of good over evil, saying, “May the victory of good over evil be ever blessed in our lives and in the lives of all humanity.”
Bachchan didn’t stop at simple greetings. He drew from Chanakya, the sharp-minded advisor to ancient India’s Chandragupta Maurya king, to remind fans about staying alert. “Be cautious when you’re set to give or do goodness to others,” he noted. “Blind trust in everyone can spell trouble down the line. Good-hearted people often see the best in all, but that can backfire.” He wrapped up the thought by saying the idea of good over evil carries many layers.
Still, Bachchan kept the vibe positive with his Dussehra wishes: “May this Dussehra bring all the happiness and joy you deserve—prosperity, recognition, progress, and goodness for everyone.” He chuckled about the contrast with Chanakya’s advice, adding, “Life’s full of opposites anyway, and that’s what makes it so exciting. Stay well, stay careful, and stay in love.”
This comes right after his Navratri post, where the superstar shared blessings for the nine-night festival with a fun twist. “I’m trying to run ahead of time—metaphorically, of course,” he joked. “Not some philosopher, poet, or scientist who can bend time, but just getting this blog out before things get too hectic.” He hoped the divine energy of Navratri would surround everyone with calm, happiness, and success.
