Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma flew to Delhi on Thursday to meet three Union Ministers and push Rajasthan’s development plans faster.
At the Delhi meetings, he talked with Energy Minister Manohar Lal, Water Minister C.R. Paatil and Skill‑Development Minister Jayant Chaudhary. The focus was on boosting urban infrastructure, renewable power, water security and young‑man‑skill programs.
Power and Urban Growth
With Manohar Lal, the CM reviewed projects that strengthen Rajasthan’s power grid and city services. Energy officials noted progress on cutting power‑loss (AT&C) in Jaipur and Ajmer to below 15 %, a sign that the new Distribution Sector Scheme (RDSS) is working. Discussions also highlighted Rajasthan’s huge solar potential and the need to improve power‑evacuation systems.
Jaipur Metro Expansion
Sharma pushed the approval of the Detailed Project Report for Phase 2 of the Jaipur Metro, which will add a new line and boost movement inside the capital.
Water Projects
In talks with C.R. Paatil, the CM updated on the Ferozepur Feeder Relining Project and the Ram Jal Setu Link Project. They also planned long‑term water‑harvesting solutions for the state’s many dry regions.
Skill Development and Entrepreneurship
Sharma met Jayant Chaudhary to discuss how Rajasthan can become a national hub for skills and startups. Both leaders agreed on programmes that match training with what industries need and on boosting youth employment.
Community Involvement
Water Minister Paatil praised Rajasthan’s “Karmabhoomi to Matribhoomi” campaign, which encourages locals to take part in development projects.
Overall, Sharma’s Delhi trip aimed to secure the central government’s backing for major projects—energy, water, metro, and skills—that will strengthen Rajasthan’s infrastructure and give its young people new job opportunities.
