On December 2 in Jaipur, Rajasthan’s Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma met with Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla and several Union Ministers to discuss the state’s development plans and ongoing welfare programmes.
He first briefed the Prime Minister on the various public‑welfare schemes rolled out by the state’s double‑engine government and outlined Rajasthan’s roadmap for growth. Shivendra Sharma expressed confidence that, under Modi’s guidance, Rajasthan would continue to progress swiftly and play a vital role in building a “Viksit Bharat.”
Afterward, the Chief Minister visited Parliament House, where he conversed with Speaker Birla and Rajya Sabha MP Madan Rathore. The leaders talked about the state’s holistic development and the effective execution of welfare programmes from both Central and state levels.
Sharma also met Union Home and Cooperation Minister Amit Shah. He updated Shah on innovations in governance, development projects, welfare schemes, and progress in Rajasthan’s cooperative sector.
The Chief Minister then called on Union Minister of Health and Family Welfare and BJP President J.P. Nadda, wishing him a happy birthday. They discussed modern reforms in the health sector, enhancements to medical services, and strides made under various welfare initiatives.
Later, Bhajan Lal Sharma spoke with Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman. Their talk covered efficient financial management, current fiscal reforms, and the benefits the public is gaining from GST‑related changes.
