In Jaipur on October 1, Rajasthan Congress President Govind Singh Dotasra fired sharp criticism at the BJP government, pointing to deep-rooted corruption in the state’s Education Department and claiming the RSS is meddling in key administrative decisions.
Addressing supporters at the Congress War Room, Dotasra zeroed in on what he called a massive scam in principal transfers. “The BJP has set up a shady three-tier approval process that’s more secretive at every level,” he said. Officials issue slips, reject them, and reissue them until everything funnels to the RSS, which he accused of acting as the ultimate decision-maker.
Dotasra highlighted around 5,000 recent transfers at the principal level, all riddled with manipulation. The list started with just 800 names, ballooned to over 3,500, and ended up in the hands of brokers, he claimed. “I’m certain this is a full-blown transfer scam,” he added, while blasting the Education Minister for dodging responsibility. “If the whole system is rotten, how can he blame others?”
He didn’t stop there, accusing the BJP of rigging voter lists ahead of elections. “They pressure Election Commission officials to add fake names and delete real voters—especially those backing Congress or other opposition parties,” Dotasra said. He noted that lists often drop just 24 hours before polls, calling it “not just foul play, but a straight-up assault on democracy.”
Dotasra also took aim at the central government’s GST policy, labeling it a decade of economic hardship for everyday people. With elections looming, he said the BJP is now slashing GST rates out of fear, but prices haven’t budged and relief hasn’t reached the common man.
Looking ahead to the local body and panchayat elections in Rajasthan, Dotasra promised to hold the BJP accountable. “You can delay the polls, but you can’t dodge the defeat,” he declared, adding that even BJP workers are fed up with the government’s performance.
The event doubled as Dotasra’s birthday bash, turning it into a big show of unity for the Congress party. Leaders and workers from across Rajasthan flocked to the war room, with tents set up on nearby streets and the city buzzing with banners and billboards. Prominent figures like Sukhjinder Singh Randhawa and Tika Ram Jully joined in as Dotasra cut his cake amid cheers and greetings all day.
