Jaipur, Nov 13 – Rajasthan is pushing hard to finish its Special Intensive Revision Programme (SIR‑2026) that updates the state’s electoral rolls. In the first ten days, Booth Level Officers (BLOs) have visited more than 5 crore voters, handing out counting forms door‑to‑door and covering over 92 percent of the state.

Chief Electoral Officer Naveen Mahajan highlighted the top districts – Jhalawar (99 %), Bundi (98.8 %), Rajsamand (98.7 %), Dungarpur (97.5 %) and Barmer (97.1 %) – for their strong form‑distribution pace. By contrast, Bharatpur, Jaipur, Tonk, Dausa, Jodhpur and Sirohi are lagging, with fewer than 90 percent of forms delivered.

At the assembly‑constituency level, Jhalawar, Begun and Keshoraipatan have hit 99.9 percent coverage, while Bharatpur (50 percent) and Nadbai (58 percent) trail behind.

Mahajan said the digitisation of counting forms on the ECInet portal is moving fast. So far, 33 lakh forms have been uploaded online. Barmer, Bharatpur and Chittorgarh lead by volume, whereas Baran, Bikaner and Pali are slower.

The Chief Electoral Officer urged District Election Officers (DEOs) to speed up the process and give BLOs the technical help they need. The Election Commission of India is monitoring the campaign closely and has issued clear directions to Electoral Registration Officers (EROs) in districts falling behind. Mahajan expressed satisfaction with the progress in Jodhpur.

Voters are encouraged to use the online portal (voters.eci.gov.in) to fill out counting forms. Online submissions go straight to the relevant BLO, eliminating the need for paper handling. More than 82,000 online forms have been received across Rajasthan, with Hanumangarh and Ganganagar topping the list and Banswara and Dungarpur lagging.

Under the commission’s directives, DEOs, EROs and Assistant Officers are conducting continuous monitoring throughout all districts. BLOs are visiting homes in rural and urban areas to verify voter details – name, address, age and more.

The verification drive will run from November 4 to December 4, ensuring the voter lists are accurate and transparent. Mahajan stressed that SIR‑2026 is vital for a strong democratic framework in Rajasthan by adding eligible voters and removing those who should not be on the rolls.
