In Dehradun, Uttarakhand, several MLAs like Sahdev Pundir, Khajan Das, Suresh Chauhan, Bharat Chaudhary, Sanjay Dobhal, Anil Nautiyal, and Pritam Panwar, along with other local leaders, dropped by Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami’s residence on Sunday for a friendly meet-up.
During the chat, these representatives shared key development demands and local problems from their areas, as per a release from the Chief Minister’s Office (CMO). CM Dhami promised quick action, saying he’d direct the relevant departments to sort things out fast.
He stressed that the Uttarakhand government aims to deliver speedy and transparent services to everyone. Dhami also pointed out how active involvement from public reps can supercharge problem-solving and boost development projects across the state.
On a serious note, the Chief Minister asked the MLAs to visit spots hit hard by recent natural disasters in Uttarakhand and help ensure relief reaches affected families without delay. He reaffirmed the government’s full support for disaster victims, vowing to speed up relief and rehabilitation work.
Dhami highlighted ongoing efforts to build strong basics in Uttarakhand, from better roads and healthcare to education, tourism, clean drinking water, and energy supply. He believes balanced growth for the state happens when leaders actively share people’s needs with the government and team up for progress.
Later that day, CM Dhami turned his focus to culture and literature. At the Uttarakhand Long-Term Literature Service Honour Ceremony, he said the state government is all in on protecting and promoting Uttarakhand’s rich literary heritage and traditions.
Praising the Uttarakhand Bhasha Sansthan, Dhami noted their vital role in boosting Hindi and other Indian languages. “Our team is working non-stop to preserve and promote literature and culture,” he shared. “The Bhasha Sansthan is doing fantastic work for Hindi and regional languages.”
The Chief Minister added that they’re honoring veteran writers with awards like Uttarakhand Sahitya Gaurav Samman, Sahitya Bhushan, and Lifetime Achievement, while also supporting fresh talent. This includes grants for publishing books in Hindi and other languages, helping new voices shine in Uttarakhand’s literary scene.
