Hyderabad, Dec 7 – Telangana’s Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy told reporters that the Congress‑led government is charting a path to make the state India’s next big growth hub.
During his message, he highlighted the role of the brand‑new Bharat Future City, which he said will act as a launchpad for Telangana’s future. “We have breathed life into a vision that past leaders could barely imagine,” he said, adding that the state has laid everything out to become a leading engine of growth. The announcement comes as the twin‑day Telangana Rising Global Summit kicks off on Monday, where officials will present plans targeting a $1 trillion economy by 2034 and a $3 trillion one by 2047.
Reddy stressed that the summit will transform how Telangana is seen worldwide. “We must have the courage to dream big and the resolve to act on it,” he reminded the audience. “Exactly two years ago, 4 crore voters gave me that courage. I thank them for their wholehearted support.”
He reflected on the past two years, asserting that the administration has kept Telangana at the top, creating jobs to revive a generation that had been struggling under past policies. “We stood as a pillar for farmers burdened by debt and set a national example,” he said. The CM also highlighted financial assistance for women aiming to compete with the country’s leading industrialists.
The state’s caste census has, according to Reddy, satisfied long‑held hopes of marginalized communities. By sub‑categorizing Scheduled Castes, the government has delivered justice to the Madiga community. “Education is the only path to upliftment,” he emphasized, revealing plans for Young India Integrated Model Schools, a Skill University, and a Sports University.
Reddy reaffirmed that the government’s foundation rests on freedom, social justice, and equality. He announced that the popular poet Andesri’s song “Jaya Jayahe Telangana” would be officially recognised to reflect the people’s aspirations.
He listed several welfare initiatives that have defined the last two years: the “Sanna Biyyam” rice programme, Indiramma houses, 200 units of free electricity, free bus travel for women, cooking gas vouchers at Rs 500, a Rs 500 bonus for fine paddy, and a push to make one crore women millionaires. “These are tangible proof of the welfare legacy we’ve built,” he said.
Looking ahead, Reddy hinted that the government is not satisfied with merely meeting today’s needs; it is focused on shaping Telangana’s destiny for 2047, when India will celebrate its centenary of independence. “We have drafted a guideline for what our state should look like in 2047,” he added, closing in a tone of optimism for the future.
