Elon Musk fires back at Newsom after gloating that his estranged transgender daughter ‘hates’ him
Elon Musk shot back at California Governor Gavin Newsom after the state official boasted that his estranged transgender daughter, Vivian Jenna Wilson, “hates” him. Newsom’s press office responded to a clip posted by Musk’s America PAC, which praised the governor for passing more pro‑transgender laws than any other state leader, with a sarcastic note that “We’re sorry your daughter hates you, Elon.”
Musk took the opportunity to defend his family, saying he “loves his son.” On X, he blasted the Democratic leader and explained, “I assume you’re referring to my son, Xavier, who has a tragic mental illness caused by the evil woke mind virus you push on vulnerable children.” He added, “I love Xavier very much and hope he recovers,” and reassured the public that his other children—Azure, Exa (she goes by Y) and Arcadia—“do indeed love me very much.”
Vivian Jenna Wilson, who first used the name Xavier, had filed a petition in California in 2022 to change her gender and surname. She also dropped the Musk name and declared she “no longer live[s] with or wishes[es] to be related to my biological father in any way, shape or form.”
The daughter has been openly critical of Musk on social media, calling him “cartoonishly evil” and a “pathetic man‑child” who refuses to accept her gender identity. After leaving the United States following Trump’s 2020 election win, she has pursued a career as a media personality and model, gracing the cover of Teen Vogue and stating that she is “broke” after ending ties with the world’s richest man.
