Over 700 policymakers, startup founders, and industry leaders gathered in Hyderabad on Monday for the Aadhaar Samvaad event. They shared fresh ideas to boost service delivery through India’s unique digital ID system, Aadhaar.
The Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) organized this full-day conference with key ecosystem partners. It brought everyone together to discuss how Aadhaar can drive even more innovation in everyday services.
S. Krishnan, Secretary of the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY), kicked off the talks. He praised Aadhaar as the strong foundation of India’s Digital Public Infrastructure. “It powers countless services and boasts one of the safest databases out there,” Krishnan said. He urged UIDAI to keep pushing innovations, always prioritizing user convenience.
UIDAI Chairperson Neelkanth Mishra focused on building stronger ties with stakeholders. He highlighted how ongoing UIDAI innovations will spark new use cases soon, expanding Aadhaar’s reach across sectors.
CEO Bhuvnesh Kumar of UIDAI called Aadhaar more than just a 12-digit number—it’s a journey toward empowerment, easy access, and trust. “Aadhaar will keep shaping India’s digital future,” he added. It helps residents get seamless services, boosts digital inclusion, and strengthens governance in areas like healthcare, education, social welfare, and even entrepreneurship.
This Aadhaar Samvaad edition felt extra special. It lined up with Aadhaar’s 16th Foundation Day. What started as a simple unique digital ID initiative has now become the backbone of India’s inclusive growth. It empowers millions, streamlines services, and fuels innovation everywhere.
The event included some exciting launches too. The Postmaster General of Telangana Circle unveiled Aadhaar MyStamp and a special cover to mark the foundation day.
UIDAI also rolled out its new Aadhaar Brand Manual. This guide sets clear rules for branding on digital platforms, documents, event boards, conferences, exhibitions, and more. The goal? Ensure every communication stays accurate, clear, and recognizable.
UIDAI’s Technology Centre gave a sneak peek at the upcoming Aadhaar app. It promises to bring more services right to users’ phones, giving Aadhaar holders better control over sharing their details for various needs.
