Union Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia is all set for a packed three-day visit to his Guna Lok Sabha constituency in Madhya Pradesh’s Gwalior-Chambal region. Starting Wednesday, he’ll dive into meetings and events, focusing on boosting development in the area.

Scindia landed at Gwalior airport on Tuesday evening and shared his plans with the media. “For the next three days, I’ll be right there with the people of Guna and Gwalior,” he said. “I’ll visit Guna, Shivpuri, and Ashoknagar districts to launch several development projects. Under PM Modi’s leadership, we’ll keep pushing growth in Gwalior and Guna.”

Right after arriving, Scindia jumped into action. He held a public meeting and joined the Jain community’s ‘Chhamavani’ forgiveness programme. He also stopped by Baba Mansur Ali Shah’s Dargah to offer prayers and seek blessings.

This isn’t his first trip recently. Just last month, from August 21 to 24, Scindia did a four-day tour of the region. During a rally in Guna, he took a strong dig at his political opponents. “Many show up during good times, but they vanish when people really need help in tough moments,” he remarked.

Scindia, who hails from Gwalior’s royal family, has deep roots in Guna. He’s been the Lok Sabha MP there since 2002, except for the 2019-2024 term. Before him, his late father Madhavrao Scindia and grandmother Vijayaraje Scindia represented the seat from 1989 to 2002.

The minister has been extra active amid recent floods in the Guna Lok Sabha area. He teamed up with Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav for an aerial survey of flood-hit spots in Guna. Since then, Scindia keeps a close eye on the recovery efforts.

Last week, he checked on the flood relief funds and compensation distributed by the state government to affected folks in Guna, Shivpuri, and Ashoknagar districts. The floods were devastating—over 30 people lost their lives, and more than 400 got airlifted to safety from Shivpuri, Ashoknagar, Kolaras, Chanderi, and Guna.

Scindia’s ongoing focus on Guna development projects and flood relief shows his commitment to the region. Residents are hopeful for more progress in the coming days.
