Mom, 6-year-old twins shot dead in mansion amid bitter divorce battle with doctor hubby

An Arkansas mother and her six‑year‑old twin children were tragically discovered dead at their $760,000 home in Bonanza, a small community near Oklahoma, during a welfare check on Dec. 3, officials said. The victims, Charity Beallis, 40, and her twin children, were found shot inside the house. Their estranged husband, Dr. Randall Beallis—a physician who had been arrested earlier this year on a domestic‑violence charge after choking his wife—pleaded guilty and was given a suspended one‑year sentence as well as more than $1,500 in court fees. Charity had filed for divorce that same month, seeking full custody of the kids, and the split reached its final hearing at the Sebastian County Courthouse the day before the tragedy. The hearing granted Dr. Beallis joint custody, a decision that the now‑deceased mother later contested. She wrote in a public comment that she was “living this battle” against a system she felt protected her former spouse while silencing her own voice; she described herself as a “victim” and said attempts to contact the county’s prosecutor were rebuffed, raising broader concerns about how offenders are shielded at the expense of victims and the safety of their children.
