In Dehradun, Uttarakhand’s capital, Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami called for faster road repairs during a high‑level meeting at the CM’s residence on Saturday. He told officials to finish all pothole‑free road work as soon as possible, stressing that 52 % of the pothole‑patching effort is already done.
“We must complete the remaining work quickly,” Dhami told the group, which included district secretaries and Public Works Department officials. He urged the secretaries to keep visiting their districts, speak with residents, and speed up the rollout of development and welfare schemes.
The meeting also focused on repairing disaster‑hit areas. Dhami said that infrastructure damaged by floods and landslides should be rebuilt right away, with a priority on fixing broken bridges and building new ones. He stressed that every project must be done with quality and transparency, and that all state departments should coordinate closely.
At the event, the CM was joined by Principal Secretary R.K. Sudhanshu, Secretary Shailesh Bagauli, Dr. Pankaj Kumar Pandey, and Additional Secretary Vineet Kumar.
Earlier that day, Dhami praised Prime Minister Narendra Modi for launching two big agriculture schemes: the PM Dhan‑Dhaanya Krishi Yojana and the Mission for Aatmanirbharta in Pulses. He called them a historic milestone that will bring prosperity and dignity to Indian farmers. Modi’s new programs aim to boost irrigation, storage, and crop diversity, opening fresh opportunities for farmers across the country.
