Prime Minister Narendra Modi kicked off a new chapter for the Bharatiya Janata Party in Delhi on Monday by inaugurating its shiny new state office in the heart of India’s capital. The event at Deen Dayal Upadhyay Marg drew cheers from BJP leaders, who see the building as a boost for public service, social welfare, and strong governance in Delhi.
Union Minister SP Singh Baghel wasted no time in praising the workers. “Today, the Prime Minister inaugurated the Delhi state office—huge congratulations to all Delhi BJP workers,” he said. Baghel pointed out Delhi’s key role in the party’s history, noting how the city’s activists helped form governments like the current Modi administration—now in its third term at the center—and past ones under Atal Bihari Vajpayee and in Delhi itself. “This is the hard work of four generations of Delhi workers,” he added.
Delhi BJP leader Kapil Mishra highlighted the office’s cultural vibe. “We’ve waited a long time for this, and now it’s here. With a BJP government in Delhi, this spot will play a big role,” he said.
Ramesh Bidhuri, another BJP figure, emphasized Delhi’s bigger picture beyond politics. “Delhi is India’s heart, and the Prime Minister reminded our workers of that. Unity in diversity is our strength—India must lead the world and become a top nation, so BJP workers carry an even greater responsibility,” Bidhuri explained. He believes the new office will fire up efforts in public service, social welfare, and good governance.
BJP MLA Anil Sharma celebrated the party’s first permanent home in the city. “Before, our offices were just rented from the government. Today, PM Modi has given us our own Delhi state office—we thank him on behalf of everyone,” Sharma said.
Joining Modi at the ceremony were BJP president and Union Minister JP Nadda, Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta, and other leaders like Manjinder Singh Sirsa, Ashish Sood, Parvesh Sahib Singh Verma, Harsh Malhotra, Kamaljeet Sehrawat, Yogender Chandolia, and Delhi BJP President Virendra Sachdeva. Earlier, Gupta led a traditional havan ritual at the headquarters.
The modern setup includes top-notch communication tools, meeting rooms, and spaces to coordinate party events, making it a central hub for BJP activities in Delhi. Built with donations, it reflects the party’s roots as a service-focused group, as Gupta noted. Sood called it an inspiring center where workers draw motivation to help the public.
This inauguration comes just months after BJP swept to power in Delhi in February, ending a 27-year wait to govern the national capital. The new Delhi BJP office stands as a symbol of the party’s growing footprint in Indian politics.
