In Patna, the Bihar BJP leader Dilip Jaiswal told reporters that the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) will publish its seat‑sharing plan for the state Assembly elections in the next two to three days.
Jaiswal said senior NDA members met at the party’s headquarters to finalize candidate names for the BJP’s own seats as well as the seats it lost last time. “We’ve decided on the candidates, and the parliamentary committee will release the final list soon,” he confirmed, adding that all groundwork is complete.
He also spoke about the broader alliance talks, saying they are moving in the right direction. “We’re a united group, like the five Pandavas. With leaders such as Chirag Paswan, Jitan Ram Manjhi and Upendra Kushwaha on board, the NDA will announce the formula at the proper time,” Jaiswal said.
The comments came after Jitan Ram Manjhi, head of the Hindustani Awam Morcha, publicly asked for 15 seats in the upcoming elections. Jaiswal replied by dismissing an RJD promise about giving government jobs. “That promise is unrealistic. The government has limited posts, and such claims are childish,” he remarked.
Jaiswal emphasized that development remains the hallmark of the NDA. “Bihar voters trust Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chief Minister Nitish Kumar,” he said. “Their work on road infrastructure proves their dedication.”
The BJP’s statement underscores its readiness to lead the upcoming Bihar Assembly elections, ahead of the definitive seat‑sharing announcement.
