Release of Prabhas’s ‘The Raja Saab’ pushed to January 9 next year; spine-chilling trailer released

Fans of Prabhas have a new reason to get excited—and a bit spooked. The makers of the upcoming horror thriller “The Raja Saab” just dropped its chilling trailer, revealing a delay in the release. Originally set for December 5 this year, the film now hits theaters on January 9, 2025.
Production house People Media Factory shared the trailer on X, hyping it as a global shiver-fest. Their post read: “The face of REBELLION… now the face of ROYAL HORROR. #TheRajaSaab promising a spectacle that will send shivers across the globe from JAN 9th, 2026.#TheRajaSaabTrailer #TheRajaSaabOnJan9th #Prabhas @DuttSanjay @DirectorMaruthi.” (Note: While the post mentions 2026, the official update points to early 2025.)
Directed by Maruthi, “The Raja Saab” marks Prabhas’s dive into full-on horror territory, and the trailer teases a wild mix of scares, laughs, romance, and action. It kicks off with Prabhas under hypnosis, uncovering his past and spotting a creepy creature in the shadows. He snaps awake, setting the eerie tone.
But it’s not all dark vibes—humor lightens things up. In one funny bit, Prabhas spots a spirit and casually calls it his granddad, offering introductions to his friends. When comedian VTV Ganesh looks confused, Prabhas yells, “Then, what are you waiting for? Run!” Expect plenty of those witty moments amid the thrills.
The trailer ramps up with intense action sequences that promise big-screen excitement. Enter Sanjay Dutt’s mysterious character: A voiceover warns, “He is not some street magician who knows a few spells. He’s an exorcist, a hypnotist, and a psychiatrist. He’s playing with our brains.” Dutt brings that edge to the story.
Things get demonic toward the end, with another side of Prabhas as a fierce, cigar-smoking demon lounging upside down on a ceiling throne. He snarls, “What’s your problem? Am I an ant to sting you when you reach into the anthill? I’m the demon.” It’s a bold, stylish twist that has fans buzzing.
Prabhas steps into fresh ground here, blending his action-hero charm with supernatural chills in his first major horror entertainer. The stunning cast, including Malavika Mohanan, Nidhhi Agerwal, and Ridhi Kumar, adds romance and flair to the spooky world.
Behind the scenes, Karthik Palani handles cinematography for those goosebump visuals, while Thaman S. delivers the soundtrack to amp up the tension. If the trailer is any sign, “The Raja Saab” Prabhas horror movie could be a blockbuster hit—mark your calendars for those spine-tingling vibes.
