Panaji, Goa — Almost 1,300 athletes from 31 countries will line up for the fifth IRONMAN 70.3 GOA race on November 9, turning the coastal paradise into a global stage for triathlon and endurance sport once again.

Since its debut, the event has attracted competitors from 62 nations, cementing Goa’s reputation as a leading destination for international sports tourism. The race combines a 1.9 km swim, a 90 km bike ride, and a 21.1 km run, giving both amateurs and pros a chance to test their strength, resilience and spirit against the stunning backdrop of Goa’s shoreline.

“We’ve always seen Goa as a place of hospitality, beauty and celebration,” said Kedar Naik, Goa’s Director of Tourism. “Hosting the fifth IRONMAN 70.3 GOA shows our commitment to developing Goa not only as a leisure hub but also as a world‑class sports tourism destination. The steady rise in participating countries shows global confidence in our ability to deliver top‑tier sporting events.”

Deepak Raj, Founder of Yoska and Country Head of IRONMAN India, added, “From a handful of dreamers in 2019 to athletes from 31 nations this year, this milestone edition marks a proud moment for all of us. The consistency, support and passion of the triathlon community have made Goa the home of IRONMAN in India.”

Herbalife India’s Managing Director Ajay Khanna noted, “Herbalife has always believed in empowering people to live healthier, more active lives. Our partnership with IRONMAN 70.3 GOA celebrates the same spirit of endurance, discipline and determination that defines both athletes and our brand. This collaboration reminds us that true wellness goes beyond the finish line.”

Actor and race ambassador Saiyami Kher shared her excitement: “IRONMAN 70.3 GOA proves that endurance is not just physical but deeply emotional. Seeing athletes from around the globe come to test their limits is inspiring. As an ambassador and participant, I’m proud to be part of a community that celebrates discipline, strength and heart.”

The race, organised by Yoska in partnership with the Government of Goa and the IRONMAN brand, will start along Miramar Beach, continuing the tradition of one of India’s most scenic and inclusive endurance races.
