In a thrilling Pro Kabaddi League match in Vizag, Dabang Delhi powered to a commanding 38-28 victory over Gujarat Giants. Former PKL star Rishank Devadiga broke down the action, spotlighting the intense rivalry between Delhi’s captain Ashu Malik and Gujarat’s skipper Mohammadreza Shadloui. Ashu seized the moment, capitalizing on Shadloui’s off-day to raid with bold confidence and rack up 14 points.
Ashu Malik dominated the mat, boasting a stunning 70% raid success rate that left defenders scrambling. "He looked like an unstoppable force, leading his team like a true captain to stay at the top of the points table," Rishank shared on JioHotstar. Fazel Atrachali backed him up with a crucial High 5 in defense, while Delhi’s tacklers notched 13 points to lock down the win. This keeps Dabang Delhi’s unbeaten streak alive in the new season.
The matchup between Ashu and Shadloui turned heads—usually neck-and-neck with just a one-point gap, Ashu pulled ahead by four this time. Rishank called it a "fascinating contest" that highlighted Ashu’s sharp gameplay.
Gujarat Giants, however, are struggling. They’ve won just one of their five games so far. As the Vizag leg wraps up, the team heads to Jaipur for three more matches. Rishank pointed out their biggest weakness: a leaky defense. "Raiders like Parteek Dahiya and Rakesh are scoring, but the backline needs to tighten up—especially Shadloui, who must lead the defense," he said. If they fix that, Gujarat could turn their season around in the upcoming Pro Kabaddi League fixtures.

In another edge-of-your-seat clash, U Mumba grabbed a dramatic win over Patna Pirates, even as raider Ayan Lohchab lit up the court with 21 points. Lohchab made history as the first player in PKL to notch back-to-back 20-point games, but a heartbreaking self-out in the final seconds handed the victory to U Mumba.
Amirmohammad Zafardanesh led U Mumba’s charge with a Super 10, and Anil chipped in with key tackles during the high-scoring showdown. Rishank praised U Mumba’s overall control but warned Patna about finishing strong. "Patna fought back hard, but Ayan’s avoidable error in that super tackle moment cost them big.
