India pulled off a thrilling turnaround in the Asia Cup on Sunday, bowling out Pakistan for just 146 runs in 19.1 overs at Dubai International Stadium. Kuldeep Yadav starred with a four-wicket haul, grabbing three scalps in the 17th over alone to spark a dramatic collapse.

A packed crowd watched Pakistan blaze to 113 for one wicket in just 12.4 overs, eyeing a big total around 180. But India’s spinners turned the tide, snaring eight wickets in all. Pakistan’s batters went for risky aerial shots and crumbled, losing their last nine wickets for a mere 33 runs.

Kuldeep shifted gears brilliantly, conceding only seven runs while taking four wickets in his final two overs after starting steadily. Jasprit Bumrah, Axar Patel, and Varun Chakaravarthy backed him up with two wickets each, sealing the deal in this high-stakes India vs Pakistan clash.

Pakistan batted first on a pitch offering some swing, but openers Sahibzada Farhan and Fakhar Zaman attacked from the start. They smashed three boundaries in the first three overs. Farhan hammered Bumrah for a four and a six, and the duo kept the pressure on during the powerplay, reaching 45 without loss.

Farhan powered on, pulling Kuldeep for six and slogging Axar for four to hit his fifty off 35 balls. He lofted Chakaravarthy for another six before holing out to deep mid-wicket for 57, ending an 84-run opening stand. Saim Ayub added quick boundaries off Shivam Dube but fell to Kuldeep for 14.

From there, Pakistan unraveled fast. Mohammad Haris chipped a catch to mid-off off Axar, and Zaman perished at backward point trying one big shot too many against Chakaravarthy. Sanju Samson took sharp catches to dismiss Hussain Talat and Salman Agha off Axar and Kuldeep.

Kuldeep struck again, trapping Shaheen Shah Afridi lbw and getting Faheem Ashraf caught at long-off. Bumrah wrapped it up by castling Haris Rauf’s off-stump and forcing Mohammad Nawaz to hole out to deep mid-wicket, keeping Pakistan under 150.

Brief scores: Pakistan 146 in 19.1 overs (Sahibzada Farhan 57, Fakhar Zaman 46; Kuldeep Yadav 4-30, Jasprit Bumrah 2-25) against India.
