Bengal Warriorz Struggle in Pro Kabaddi League Season 12 as Tamil Thalaivas Shine
In a thrilling match on Day 15 of the Pro Kabaddi League Season 12, the Bengal Warriorz suffered their fourth straight loss. This time, a fired-up Tamil Thalaivas team handed them the defeat, leaving the Warriorz grappling with poor form and team unity.
JioStar expert Rishank Devadiga broke down the game on KBD Live, spotlighting the Bengal Warriorz’s biggest headache: shaky coordination between their defense and raiding units. He couldn’t stop raving about how Tamil Thalaivas turned things around. "You don’t see defenses this sharp every day," Devadiga said. "The Thalaivas defenders were on fire against Bengal Warriorz. They nailed every tackle with a perfect 100% strike rate."
Leading the pack was Ronak with four tackle points, while Aashish grabbed three. Suresh Jadhav and Nitesh Kumar each added two crucial stops. Devadiga explained that when the defense clicks like this, it boosts the raiders too. Against Bengal’s star raider Devank Dalal, the Thalaivas backline stayed rock-solid. Ronak had a smart game plan—he kept chaining tackles to rattle Devank and shatter his confidence.
This strong showing from Tamil Thalaivas painted a stark picture for the Bengal Warriorz. Their defenders couldn’t back up Devank, causing the team to crumble time and again. Devadiga noticed Devank looking lost on the mat. "He started rough, getting tackled early, but once he built some speed, he started picking up raid points," he shared. "Devank even tried helping in defense, but that cost points too. You could see his frustration—the team, especially the defense, just wasn’t there for him. He’d raid, get caught, and only come back after an all-out. That’s a pattern they need to fix fast."
The Bengal Warriorz still have a shot at the playoffs, with eight teams making it and plenty of matches left. But if they keep playing this way, the Season 7 champions could be in real trouble. Devadiga stressed how the lack of sync between raiders and defenders has hurt them in key moments. They struggle to bounce back from all-outs or grab chances when they arise.
He warned that relying too much on one player spells disaster in kabaddi. "Bengal Warriorz are leaning hard on Devank Dalal, and it’s showing," Devadiga noted. "It’s like Jaipur Pink Panthers with Nitin Dhankhar—they’re both lone warriors without enough help. When Nitin gets tackled, the team waits for an all-out to get him back. Jaipur needs to strengthen their defense and get other raiders involved. Nitin will always score, but support from the squad is what wins games. Look at the top teams—their main raiders thrive because everyone pitches in."
For Bengal Warriorz to turn this around, they must bridge that gap between departments. Otherwise, their Pro Kabaddi League Season 12 dreams might fade fast. Fans, keep an eye on the next matches—kabaddi action is heating up!
