Delhi BJP chief questions Kejriwal, Atishi for skipping flood relief work

Delhi BJP chief Virendra Sachdeva didn’t hold back on Sunday, blasting Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader Arvind Kejriwal for ignoring flood victims in Punjab and Delhi. Instead of rolling up sleeves to help, Kejriwal and his team are busy with cheap social media jabs, Sachdeva said, leaving people shocked across Punjab, Delhi, and the nation.

Picture this: Punjab battles massive floods, while folks along Delhi’s Yamuna riverbanks face tough times too. But AAP’s bigwigs like Kejriwal and Delhi’s Leader of Opposition Atishi? They’re tweeting politics instead of aiding the public. “This shamelessness shows Kejriwal’s morality is out the window—he’s off in Gujarat pushing propaganda while Punjab suffers,” Sachdeva fumed.

He didn’t spare Atishi either, calling out her focus on statements over relief work. “Delhiites won’t forget this,” he added. Sachdeva highlighted that flood-hit spots along the Yamuna, like Burari, Chandni Chowk, and Okhla assembly areas, all have AAP MLAs. Yet, none of them are stepping up for relief. He demanded answers: Where are these MLAs, and why are they abandoning Yamuna flood victims?

In a show of action, Sachdeva flagged off 52 trucks packed with relief for Punjab flood victims. “This isn’t about favors—it’s pure humanity. BJP stands by people in crisis, just like our teachings,” he said. Delhi’s Chief Minister chipped in Rs 5 crore to the Punjab CM’s fund, proving commitment to flood relief efforts.

Talking to locals and BJP workers in Punjab, Sachdeva learned they have rations but lack ways to cook or store them. So, the trucks carry essentials like utensils, mosquito nets, blankets, tarpaulins, medicines, shoes, and slippers. “These heroes feed the nation and guard our borders—we owe them this support,” he emphasized. The convoy heads to Jalandhar first, then distributes goods to the worst-hit Punjab flood areas.

This clash highlights the heated Delhi politics amid real flood crises, with BJP pushing service while slamming AAP for empty talk on social media.
