Olympic‑gold medallist Udayan Mane and top‑ranked Indian woman Vani Kapoor are set to make their IGPL Tour debut in Jaipur this week. The players will compete at the Rambagh Golf Club during the IGPL Invitational, a stop in the “Pink City” that follows earlier venues in Chandigarh, Jaypee Greens Noida and Pune.

Rambagh has long been a favorite for many of the field’s competitors. Mane won his first professional title there a decade ago and said the course and city hold special memories for him. “It’s a great, challenging course and I’ve loved Jaipur for years,” he told reporters. He hopes to add a second win on the IGPL Tour.

Kapoor, who leads the Women’s Golf Association of India, already has four WGAI titles this year and a top‑10 finish at the Hero Women’s Indian Open. She aims to turn her past near‑miss in Jaipur into a victory this time, especially with men’s pros also in the mix.

Other notable names include Sachin Baisoya, who claimed a title at Rambagh last season, and Aman Raj, a two‑time winner at the course (2018 and 2023). Both are looking for their first IGPL win. The 54‑player field also features 36 men, 12 women and six amateurs, with Amandeep Drall and Sneha Singh joining the female contingent.

IGPL CEO Uttam Singh Mundy highlighted the fierce competition, noting that top order‑of‑merit contenders like Kapil Kumar, Kartik Singh and Pukhraj Singh Gill could overtake current leader Gaganjeet Bhullar if they win in Jaipur. A victory would bring a prize of 22.5 lakh rupees, boosting a player’s standing in the rankings.

The historic Rambagh Golf Club, established in 1944 and set inside the former Rambagh Palace, is an 18‑hole par‑70 championship course known for its demanding layout. With a blend of seasoned pros and rising talents, the IGPL Invitational promises excitement for golf fans in Jaipur and beyond.
