Patna, India — The Bihar Cricket Association (BCA) revealed the winners of its 2025 office-bearer elections on Sunday, with 24-year-old Harsh Vardhan stepping up as the new president in an unopposed victory. His election marks a big shift, making him the youngest leader in BCA history and bringing fresh vibes to Bihar’s leading cricket body.
Joining him on the team, Priya Kumari steps into the vice president role, Ziaul Arefin takes on secretary duties, Abhishek Nandan becomes treasurer, and Rohit Kumar handles joint secretary responsibilities. Every position filled without a contest, and the full results dropped that same day.
Rajesh Kumar also earned a spot as a district representative on the Committee of Management, while Gyaneshwar Gautam joined the Governing Council. Retired IAS officer M. Modassir oversaw the smooth election process as the electoral officer.
In a statement, the BCA shared their excitement: “We’re grateful for the trust from Bihar cricket fans and partners. Our main goal? Boost cricket from the ground up, build better facilities, and open doors for young talents statewide. Let’s push Bihar cricket to exciting new levels together.”
On top of that, BCA gears up for action with selection trials and a preparation camp for the Men’s Senior and Under-23 teams kicking off Tuesday, September 30, at Patna’s Moin-ul-Haq Stadium. Players need to show up by 4:00 PM on September 29.
BCA keeps the momentum going with a recent physiotherapy workshop focused on player fitness and handling injuries. The session aims to keep Bihar’s cricketers in top shape and help them bounce back fast from setbacks.
