India remained a clear second on the medal table, trailing China’s eight gold medals and 15 total medals. The country collected three golds, five silvers, and three bronzes overall. In the women’s 3‑positions, Ashi led India with an impressive 588‑26×, only one point off eighth place. Anjum followed with 587‑23×, and teammate Sift Kaur Samra ended 48th with 580‑28×.

Duestad’s dominant form earned her a second world‑championship gold this season. Jaeggi’s 465.3 landed her silver, and her sister Vivien Joy Jaeggi finished fourth. McIntosh, returning after a year off, delivered a solid 454.6 to clinch bronze.

Looking ahead, Indian shooters Manu Bhaker, Esha Singh, and Rahi Sarnobat will compete tomorrow in the precision stage of the 25‑m Sports Pistol event.

Earlier, Indian marksman Aishwary Pratap Singh Tomar matched a world record and earned India’s first-ever individual world‑championship medal. He took silver in the men’s 50‑m rifle 3‑positions final, finishing 466.9 behind China’s reigning Olympic champion Liu Yukun, who won 467.1. The newly crowned air pistol world champion Samrat Rana and Olympian Esha Singh also took silver in the 10‑m air pistol mixed‑team event, falling 10‑16 to China’s Kai Hu and Qianxun Yao.

India’s medal tally stays strong, with three gold, five silver, and three bronze medals, while China tops the standings with eight golds and 14 total medals.
