John Abraham on teaser of ‘Oslo: A Tail of Promise’: It asks us to pause, listen, and see life through another being’s eyes

Mumbai, 28 November (LatestNewsX) – At the 56th International Film Festival of India in Goa, a highly awaited preview of Oslo: A Tail of Promise premiered, instantly touching viewers with its gentle charm.
The director’s new project stars John Abraham, who shared his impressions after seeing the teaser. “The teaser is only a window, but even in those few moments, people can feel Oslo’s presence and Pooja’s truth. That is all I hoped for. This film asks us to pause, to listen, and to see life through another being’s eyes.”
John Abraham, who also produced the film, has long been an advocate for animals. The documentary follows the bond between a Siberian husky named Oslo and Pooja R. Bhale, who heads the Protecterra Ecological Foundation. Under Isha Pungaliya’s direction, the movie examines how creatures can guide, ground, and heal us when society feels its most fractured.
“She knew this story carried its own strength, but watching people connect so instantly and so emotionally has been incredibly moving. Animals remind us who we can be at our best. Oslo carries that reminder in every frame.”
Pooja’s relationship with Oslo forms the emotional heart of the film. After the teaser dropped, she reflected, “Oslo came into my life as a traumatized dog looking for a home, and he became my teacher. He taught me to surrender, to accept, to love without fear. This film is his legacy.”
Against a backdrop of national discussions on animal welfare, Oslo: A Tail of Promise serves as a timely reminder of the loyalty and love we owe those who stand by us unconditionally. The film is presented by John Abraham and produced by JA Entertainment and Vaanar Nirmit.
