Rodriguez then rebuilt the lead in the 67th minute, netting from close range after following up a loose ball in the box. His goal was his third of the season.
In the final minutes, Messi struck again in the 81st minute with a right‑side curl to the far post. A quick give‑and‑go with substitute Ian Fray helped set the ball up. Just a minute later, Segovia—who joined the second half—slotted home a close‑range finish, assisted by Messi. The 5‑2 finish was a one‑stop show for Inter Miami’s offense.
### Season‑high contributions
With 29 goals and 19 assists, Messi piled up 48 goal‑contributions, the second‑highest in MLS history, just one behind Carlos Vela’s 49 in 2019.
Seg Segovia finished the campaign with eight goals, and Fray added three assists.

Inter Miami finished third in the Eastern Conference, posting 19 wins, seven losses and eight draws for 65 points. Their 81‑goal tally places them among an elite group of MLS teams that have ever reached the 80‑goal mark in a season.
