Millie Bobby Brown forced to skip ‘GMA’ appearance with ‘Stranger Things’ co-star after suffering injury
Even the fearless Eleven has her limits. Millie Bobby Brown had to skip her scheduled segment on Good Morning America on Monday because she’d taken a tumble and was nursing a splinted arm.
The 21‑year‑old co‑star Noah Schnapp was left without his best friend as he spoke to host Lara Spencer about the final season of Stranger Things. During the interview, Spencer revealed that Brown recorded a video message to both Schnapp and the viewers.
“I’m really sorry I couldn’t be there with you guys,” Brown said in the clip, turning the camera to her left arm in a sling.
“I took a fall,” the British actress added.
Although she missed the live Q&A, Brown used the video link‑up to throw in a holiday quirk.
“I wanted to still participate in any way I could, because you know me, Noah, I have to make it about me,” she quipped. “No, I’m very excited to ask you this question. I actually don’t think I know the answer, considering I am your best friend.
But what is your favorite family tradition to do at the holidays/favorite memory during the holiday season? Okay, I love you, good morning, bye!”
“Aw, Mills! I wish she was here,” Schnapp chuckled before answering.
He explained that his family loves playing a “salad‑bowl” game on Christmas Eve, where they write prompts, toss them in a bowl, draw one at random and act it out. “It gets crazy,” he noted.
The two have traded roles on set for nearly a decade, but their friendship extends far beyond Stranger Things. While talking about the show on The View, Schnapp shared that he proudly serves as the godfather to Brown’s adopted daughter with her husband Jake Bongiovi.
“Oh, it’s like, such an honor,” he told the hosts, recalling that as kids Brown had promised him she’d want him as her child’s godfather. A month later, Brown confirmed the arrangement at the Stranger Things 5 premiere in Los Angeles, mentioning that Sadie Sink is the mother‑figure but Noah carries the spiritual title.
“They all turn into the most gooey, soft versions of themselves [and] their baby voice comes out when they’re around her,” she added, painting a picture of the family bond that has grown from a small town crew into a tightly knit circle.
