Puneri Paltan put on a show in Visakhapatnam, crushing UP Yoddhas 43-32 in an exciting Pro Kabaddi League match at the Vishwanath Sports Club on Wednesday night. The game kicked off with Puneri Paltan taking an early lead. Aslam Inamdar raided successfully to grab the first point, but UP Yoddhas’ Guman Singh quickly equalized at 1-1. Things heated up when Pankaj Mohite unleashed a Super Raid, bagging four points and pushing Puneri ahead 7-3. Mohite slipped up soon after, letting Yoddhas pull off a super tackle and close the gap to 6-7. Guman Singh then leveled it at 7-7.
UP Yoddhas snatched a brief 2-point lead, but Puneri fought back to tie it before the first timeout. Post-break, Paltan surged with three straight points, leading 12-9 with over seven minutes left in the half. They kept the pressure on, hitting an all out to make it 16-12. Yoddhas clawed back a bit late, but Puneri held strong, heading into halftime with a comfy 21-16 advantage.
Puneri Paltan came out firing in the second half, nailing a tackle to widen the gap. The big moment arrived when Aditya Shinde’s raid sparked another all out, rocketing the score to 27-17. Shinde kept rolling, hitting his Super 10 with yet another raid. Paltan’s defense stayed rock-solid, shutting down Yoddhas’ comebacks. By the second-half timeout, Puneri led 32-21.
The dominance continued after the break. Puneri piled on points and slammed a second all out, stretching to 37-22—a whopping 15-point lead. Pankaj Mohite sealed his Super 10 too, rounding out a top-notch performance. In the end, Puneri Paltan controlled the mat on attack and defense, clinching an 11-point win. This victory puts them back on track and back at the top of the Pro Kabaddi League points table.
