U Mumba put on a thrilling performance to edge past Jaipur Pink Panthers 37‑36 in the latest match of Pro Kabaddi League (PKL) season 12. The game, played at Thyagaraj Indoor Stadium in New Delhi on Tuesday, lifted U Mumba up to fourth on the points table, keeping their hopes of a top‑four finish alive.

The contest began with Ajit Chouhan of U Mumba scoring the first raid, but Jaipur’s Nitin Kumar answered immediately to level the score. Both teams traded points in the opening minutes, creating a tense, back‑and‑forth battle.

Kumar later delivered a two‑point raid that gave Jaipur a brief lead, followed by a clean tackle from Deepanshu Khatri that extended their advantage. U Mumba fought back, scoring a bonus point to stay in touch. After a brief lull, U Mumba’s defense sparked a “super tackle” to tie the game at 8‑8, only for Jaipur to regain control with another Khatri tackle and finish the first half ahead at 9‑8.

When the second half started, U Mumba attacked aggressively. They broke the deadlock with another super tackle, then added a point from Sathish Kannan, eventually pulling ahead with an all‑out that swung the score to 19‑12. A strong defensive streak saw them finish the half with a comfortable 22‑12 lead.

The rest of the game saw U Mumba maintain pressure. Parvesh Bhainswal earned a point for U Mumba after the break, while Jaipur’s Deepanshu Khatri and Nitin Kumar chipped in with marks of their own. Ajit Chouhan highlighted the game by completing a “super raid” that added three points, bringing him to a perfect ten‑raid streak. U Mumba charged to 29‑17 before Jaipur narrowed the gap to 29‑22 with a super raid from Parvinder.

Jaipur answered with an all‑out that brought the score to 29‑26, and a quick Khatri tackle trimmed the difference to two points. Both teams exchanged points in the closing minutes, but U Mumba held their nerve and sealed the victory.

The win confirms U Mumba’s position as one of the top contenders in PKL season 12. Fans can expect more exciting kabaddi as the league moves toward the playoffs.
