At the SDAT Multi‑Purpose Indoor Stadium in Chennai on Friday, the Delhi team, Dabang Delhi K.C., edged out Gujarat Giants 39‑33 in a fast‑paced Premier Kabbadi League (PKL) match.
Dabang Delhi took the match early, with Rakesh and Neeraj Narwal opening the score for their side while Surjeet Singh and Mohammadreza Shadloui of the Giants added strong tackles. Gujarat’s Rohit Nandal and Lucky Sharma pushed back, but Ajinkya Pawar answered with a Super Raid, tying the first quarter 9‑9.
When Gujarat lost two players on the mat, Neeraj Narwal struck the first All Out and helped Dabang pull ahead by four points. Over the next ten minutes, Dabang, led by contributions from Neeraj, Ajinkya, and Surjeet, widened the gap to nine points before Gujarat’s Visvanth countered with a Super Tackle. By half‑time, Dabang was dominating with a score of 21‑14.
The second half saw Gujarat try to rebound. Himanshu Jaglan and Mohammadreza Shadloui delivered Super Tackles, trimming the lead to three. Fazel Atrachali’s tackle gave Dabang a breathing space, but Jaglan’s follow‑up helped Gujarat level the score with under eight minutes left. Sandeep’s Super Tackle swung the advantage back to Dabang by a narrow margin.
In the closing minutes, Akshit Dhull stepped out of the bench to become the star of the show. After scoring two raid points, he landed a brilliant Super Raid that pushed Dabang’s lead to 34‑29 with under two minutes remaining. Akshit then sealed the win with another Super Raid in the final raid, completing a Super 10 for Dabang Delhi.
Gujarat Giants fought hard, with Himanshu Singh and other players adding raid points, but the 39‑33 victory affirmed Dabang Delhi’s position at the top of the PKL standings. The game showcased the skill, speed, and drama that make premier indoor cricket a favorite for fans across India.
